About Patrick Clarke

PatrickPatrick Clarke has been involved in the telecommunications and transaction management sector since the late '80s.

Patrick Clarke joined OmniPay on its formation in 2000 as IT Director with responsibility for OmniPay's technical infrastructure and strategic planning of the technical platform. At OmniPay, he lead the evolution of the IT system and network infrastructure.


Prior to this, he was Development Manager with Oracle's European Development and Technical Centre with responsibility for the development of Database Migration Products. He joined Oracle from AIB-Credit Card Services where he provided consultancy on their multi-currency acquiring platform. Patrick previously held the position of System Architect at Trintech where he was responsible for the strategic development of online credit/debit card processing systems for the global market.

His career started in the telecommunications sector where he worked with British Telecom, Mercury Communications and Motorola.

Patrick holds an honours degree in Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, BSc(Eng) and an Honours Diploma in Electronic Engineering from the Dublin Institute of Technology.
